Hi all,

I have a AMF Playmaster and have been pretty happy with it. The felt is pretty new but i have noticed over the last few days that at 2 of the corners (Diagonally opposite from each other) that the felt is wrinkled and loose. Is it possible to tighten the felt?

Thank You

Found used Brunswick Heritage - need input ASAP

Hello,

I've found an older 8' Brunswick Heritage table (there is a brass plate on the rail stating Brunswick Heritage)
The owner does not how old the table is, it was given to them by there parents.

It actually looks better than the attached pics (new felt wouldn't hurt).
They're asking $550.00 - I was thinking of offering $500.00.

Anyone have any information on this model or have an idea as to how old it is?
I could not find anything via Google.
Thoughts?

Thanks
Steve

Hi,

I re-assemblying my pool table and noticed that when I roll a ball against the side bumpers the ball hops off the bumper. If I roll it against another bumper it just goes off it, no bounce. So how high should they be off the table?

Anyone know what brand this table is?

Hello,
My name is Kevin. I am new to the forum. I recently acquired an old coin operated 8 ft. pool table with the coin mechanism located on the end of the table instead of on the side of it. (never seen this before).

I have included a few pictures of it. Any information would be appreciated. The coin mechanism is missing along with the panel it mounts into. I do have the panel where the balls line up, it's just not where it is supposed to be in the pictures.

Thank you very much!!
Kevin.

highline billiards pool tables… any good???

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about highline billiards pool tables, I found one and I am thinking of buying it. It looks like a decent table; solid wood construction, 1 inch slate, leather pockets, nice carved legs. It's called "Goats Head" from Highline Billiards. It really seems to be well built, but I am just getting into billiards and don't know much about tables.

Thanks for the help

back spin on ball after it leaves cushion

By admin on June 5, 2008

I just finished installing new Simonis 860 on my gold crown III, the same cloth as before, and now it seems the balls have back spin on them when they bounce on the cushion. I can get 4 table lengths with a very firm hit, but this is about all. The cushion makes an unusual sound when the ball leaves, kind of a slap with a very hard hit. My main concern is I have not noticed the back spin before. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi; With summer coming on, or already here for some, we get to deal with extremely humid playing conditions. Most of the pubs or pool halls aren't really air conditioned (at least not in my area) and most people's home game room probably aren't either.

Is there anything you can do short of buying expensive air conditioners?

Billiard Equipment

By admin on April 10, 2008

Billiard equipment is an enormous category, which is why PBT (pool-billiard-table) has decided to stick to tables only.

We’re leaving the whole billiard equipment thing to the billiards forum, who seems to be doing a pretty good job.
