Hello All,
I have a couple of questions concerning a Table that I recently purchased. First is the make and possible year. When I bought the table I was told that it was purchased from the Reading Railroad quite a few years back and has sat in the basement for several decades until I purchased it. The plate on the foot rail says A.L.Sterling Cushion company. It is an auto return table with tubes. I am looking for an approximate date (decade) when the table was manufactured. Any help would be appreciated.
My second question is about the gully boots. It currently has leather gully boots installed, however the leather is old and starting to crumble, eventually I plan to replace these, My question is this: I am working on a limited budget and was wondering if 1: I could temporarily replace the leather gully boots with deep rubber/high sided gully boots or 2: disable the auto return function bu buying leather pockets?
I would prefer to go the the gully boot solution. Any insight would be great.
