I just purchased a new table and I'm concerned it is not setup correctly. I am just trying to figure out if I have reason to be concerned or if I am just being too picky. Please help with these questions.

1) Is it common with new table setup to need a lot of shims under the legs or should the slate be closer to level before shimming the legs?

2) Should the screw holes be filled that are partially covered by the rails? The are very close to the playing surface and I wasn't sure if they could affect play on a bank shot or if the dimples would eventually show.

3) How big should the corner pockets be and what is the proper way to measure? Should the opening be parallel (the same width at the mouth and at the pocket leather) or should they be even larger at the mouth than at the leather? My table seems way too forgiving at the corners.

I would appreciate anyone's comments and time on this.
